The Shar emerges as the first absolutely round wristwatch.

Alexander Shorokhov, founder of Alexander Shorokhoff, was captivated by the sphere. The round form is ubiquitous and epitomizes flawlessness - lacking edges and corners, as well as any discernible start or finish. His fascination led him to design his latest watch, "Shar", with a perfectly round design. The name of the watch is also symbolic of its shape. "Shar" is not a random choice; in Russian, it translates to "sphere".
The case and the front glass of the watch are integrated into a spherical shape. For a seamless aesthetic, a unique single-screw design was created to join the bottom and the body of the case seamlessly, without any additional edges or openings. This screw, positioned at the center of the caseback, not only connects the two parts in a watertight manner but also mirrors the overall spherical shape with its hemispherical design.

Additionally, the sapphire crystal is precisely tailored to fit the spherical contour, merging almost imperceptibly with the case. Moreover, the watch's lugs, fashioned from miniature spheres, attach the strap to the watch using a bar mechanism. This design allows for the use of either a steel bracelet or a leather strap, providing versatility in style. Inside, the watch is powered by the Swiss ETA.2671 movement which features automatic winding. Consistent with Alexander Shorokhov's usual style, the movement's rotor has been hand-engraved.
For the initial launch, the dial has been made available in an array of finishes, with options including hand-engraved floral motifs. These intricate designs are complemented with finishes such as rhodium, mother-of-pearl, blue river stone, or malachite, adding a touch of elegance and variety to the watch's appearance. &nbsp;For those seeking a higher level of exclusivity, Alexander Shorokhoff has introduced an even more luxurious variant of the watch, which features 510 diamonds intricately embedded into its case. Complementing this opulent design, the dial is crafted from genuine black river stone, adding a distinct and elegant touch to this exquisite timepiece.

The Shar marks a groundbreaking achievement as Alexander Shorokhov's first completely round wristwatch. It is a daring move by the designer signaling his intent to venture into new and futuristic designs. This extraordinary timepiece is not just a remarkable display of craftsmanship but also strategically planned. The "Shar" spherical watch is a commemorative edition, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the manufacture. The non-jewelled version comes as a limited production run of only 30 pieces with another 30 pieces for the diamond version.
