Audemars Piguet releases a new miniature Royal Oak quartz model with a delicate 23mm diameter. Available in yellow, white, or pink gold, these monochrome timepieces blend the iconic design elements of the original Royal Oak with the radiant shimmer of Frosted Gold, resulting in a visually stunning effect. Drawing inspiration from the brand's storied tradition of crafting miniature and jewellery watches, this trio of petite models offers a modern take on the 20mm Mini Royal Oak from 1997. By refining the proportions, architecture, design, and performance, the new &ldquo;Mini Oak&rdquo; collection continues Audemars Piguet&rsquo;s legacy, catering to the slenderest of wrists while adapting to contemporary lifestyles with a quartz movement boasting over seven years of battery life.

Creating the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Mini Frosted Gold

These watches elegantly bridge the gap between jewellery and timekeeping. They embody the powerful design of the original Royal Oak, conceived by G&eacute;rald Genta in 1972, combined with the refined shimmer of Frosted Gold. This special finish, inspired by an age-old Florentine jewellery technique, was reinterpreted by jewellery designer Carolina Bucci and first brought to life by Audemars Piguet artisans in 2016.
With the diamond-dust sparkle of Frosted Gold set against polished bevels, the iconic octagonal bezel and the tapering bracelet's individual links are highlighted. This contrast creates a mesmerising play of light. The jewellery-like allure extends to the dial. Here, the tone-on-tone Petite Tapisserie pattern further amplifies the light play from the Frosted Gold case and bracelet. Matching facetted gold hour-markers are filled with luminescent material, ensure optimal visibility in the dark. Finally, the Audemars Piguet signature at 12 o&rsquo;clock is prominently printed in black on a cartouche. Omitting the date window and seconds indicators further refine the guilloch&eacute; dial&rsquo;s elegance and readability.
