New York City, September 6th 2023 saw a stylish launch event and performance held to mark the introduction of two new additions to the iconic Breitling Navitimer collection; the 36mm and 32mm variations. At this grand celebration, the spotlight was on two well-known Breitling brand ambassadors.

Oscar-winning actress and producer Charlize Theron and American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Misty Copeland added considerable star power to the occasion, alongside fellow Breitling ambassadors such as basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and champion snowboarder Chloe Kim. This event was hosted at the Classic Car Club Manhattan and was moderated by journalist and co-founder of The Meteor media company, Cindi Leive. The guest list included prominent figures from the international fashion media, influencers, and avid watch collectors, making it a highly prestigious gathering. The evening's highlights included the premiere of the campaign film, "NAVITIMER &ndash; FOR THE JOURNEY," featuring Charlize Theron. In this film, she opens up about her personal journey, which took her from a remote area in South Africa to achieving international stardom. Theron's participation in the "NAVITIMER &ndash; FOR THE JOURNEY" campaign is part of a special series where Breitling's brand ambassadors share their life stories in their own words. This campaign also showcases the Navitimer Squad, composed of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Misty Copeland, aviation pioneer Bertrand Piccard, and now Charlize Theron, who serves as the face of the new Navitimer 36 and 32 models.

They have generously contributed to the Navitimer journey by sharing their stories with us. The event was enriched by mesmerizing contemporary ballet performances presented by the ABT Studio Company dancers, and these performances were accompanied by the rhythmic beats of jazz drummer Eric Harland. These artistic displays were designed to resonate with Charlize Theron's background as a former ballet dancer. The evening's climax featured the screening of Theron's campaign film, bringing her personal journey to the forefront of the event.

&ldquo;My journey has always been about being up for any challenge,&rdquo; says Theron. &ldquo;I travelled from South Africa to Los Angeles when I was quite young, and both that physical journey and the journey of being open-minded and ready for new experiences has served me well personally and professionally.&rdquo;

Theron and Copeland had the honour of introducing the latest additions to the Navitimer collection, the 36 and 32 models. These new timepieces, in addition to their smaller dimensions and the iconic beaded bezel that characterizes the Navitimer, incorporate eye-catching elements such as pastel colours, mother of pearl, and sustainable precious materials. These elements give the watches an elegant and jewellery-like aesthetic. Both the 36 and 32 versions are crafted using "better diamonds," which are laboratory-grown and responsibly sourced from accredited producers. They also utilize "better gold," which can be traced to artisanal and small-scale mines that adhere to the Swiss Better Gold Association's standards for social and environmental responsibility.
